Hi! I’m Tori, and I started One For Them because I believe giving should feel simple, doable, and joyful. The idea is easy: when you buy something for yourself, add one more for someone in need. One for you, one for them.
This year, we’re putting together comfort care kits for families staying at Ronald McDonald House New Hyde Park while their children receive medical treatment. Each kit is filled with cozy, thoughtful items to bring a little joy during tough times.
Join me in doubling the joy.
Giving doesn’t have to be huge to matter. Even the smallest gifts—like socks, a puzzle book, or a packet of cocoa—can make someone feel seen, supported, and cared for.
As a high school student, I wanted to create something youth-led that shows kindness is for everyone. This project isn’t about one person making a giant donation; it’s about a community coming together, one little act at a time.
With every extra item or dollar given, you’re helping me fill 50+ care kits for families who could use a little light this holiday season.
Donate Items: When you’re shopping, pick up an extra small item (like cozy socks, lip balm, lotion, or a journal). I can arrange pickup across Long Island. Just email oneforthemgifts@gmail.com.
Venmo a Gift: Send $1–$5 to @ineslo (note: One For Them). I’ll use it to shop for items to add to the kits.
Amazon Registry: Our registry has pre-selected items that ship directly, making it super easy to join in from anywhere.
Thanks to our amazing community, we reached 101% of our goal! That’s 50 care kits accounted for!
Every single donation, Venmo, or shared post is helping us get closer. Follow along as we keep updating our progress dial and celebrate each milestone together. (Last updated Oct. 3, 2025)
We are honored to be a grant recipient of the Karma for Cara Foundation. Through their generous $500 award, we are expanding our 2025 impact by including grocery and necessities shopping for families staying at the Ronald McDonald House. We are deeply grateful for their belief in our mission and commitment to service.

Hi [Name],
I wanted to share something special that Tori has been working on. She recently launched a community project called One For Them. The mission is simple but powerful: when you buy something for yourself, you also add one for someone in need.
This holiday season, Tori’s goal is to deliver 50 care kits filled with cozy, thoughtful items to families staying at the Ronald McDonald House in New Hyde Park. These families are away from home while their children receive medical care, and the kits are a way to bring comfort, joy, and a reminder that they are supported.
Here are three ways you can help:
Venmo $1–$5 to @ineslo (note: One For Them).
Shop the Amazon Registry with pre-selected gift ideas (link in @one_forthem Instagram bio).
Spread the word by sharing this project with friends and family.
Every dollar, every item, and every share makes a difference. Together, we can double the joy for these families this holiday season.
With gratitude,
